Support Muslim Scout Fellowship

MSF have always provided a vital service for our Muslim young people and Muslim communities.

We need your support

For the last 20 years, MSF has helped to bring scouting to the Muslim community: setting up new groups, organising many national events and international trips and delivering countless trainings and workshops. All with the aim of ensuring that our young people are given the incredible opportunity to benefit from a tried and tested scouting programme and all that is has to offer, whilst also ensuring their leaders are given the best support available to be the best role models that they can be. And we pride ourselves on keeping any costs for our activities low, to ensure that everyone can take part.

The deeds most loved by Allah are those done regularly, even if they are small.

Scouting in our communities has been a much-needed resource at a time when austerity cuts have heavily hit youth services nationally. And it will become even more necessary when the pandemic ends, with youth services expected to be further decimated. A recent report in The Independent estimates that at least 1 in 5 of the remaining youth clubs will not reopen when we come out of this era. We have also seen that both the disease and the economic fallout of it, has disproportionately affected BAME households.

We need your help to ensure that we can continue to help our young people when we come out of this pandemic.

With your support, we can hit the ground running and continue to provide the exceptionally high-quality events, trainings and scouting experiences that you have come to expect from us over the years.

With your support, we can continue to invest in our young people’s future, helping to build confident, resilient young leaders who are proud to be Muslim; able to overcome the many challenges that they face and contributing positively in all that they go on to do individually and as a community.

£10 could…

Fund the cost of a young person’s Scout membership for a whole month. The cost is small, but the experience the great. Scouts is so much more than a weekly meeting. Scouts is new friends, new games, new skills.

£25 could…

Fund a young person’s Scout activities for a whole month – from camping to coding. For a parent living in an area of deprivation, this could be the difference between their family’s food for a week and their child learning skills for life.

£100 could…

Fund a young person’s nights away experiences for a whole year. A young person living in an urban area of deprivation might never experience the magic of being among mountains and forests. Your donation could make this happen.

I have been in scouting for 15 years since I was 8 years old. From a young age scouting has provided me a space to be myself and take on amazing opportunities that have made me realise how strong I am. For me, scouting has not only given me copious amounts of fun, new friends for life, and exciting experiences, it has also helped me develop confidence in my self and find my self worth.

I have been part of Scouts since the age of 10 and honestly I can say that it has helped me immensely and I can say it made me who I am today.

The best part is attending camps, seeing young people enjoying themselves, smiles on their faces! It’s honestly an amazing sight to see. Get involved, donate what you can because you are supporting the future generation

Lyla

Scouts definitely made me as a person, I became more courageous, more confident, more outspoken and I definitely contribute way more in my community than I used to do.
All of this wouldn’t have happened if I didn’t join scouting.

Honestly without the support of the community, I wouldn’t be, I wouldn’t be where I am today, scouting wouldn’t be where it is today.
