The next MSF annual training camp covering Module 16 (Introduction to Residential Experiences) and 38 (Skills for Residential Experiences) will be held between 5-7th April 2013 at:

The course will cover the following Modules:

16; Introduction to Residential Experiences – Enables leaders to understand the role that residential experiences play in Scouting. The module covers topics including the importance of residential experiences in scouting, programme planning, permits, risk assessment and a range of practical skills.

 

38; Skills for Residential Experiences – Enables adults to acquire the appropriate skills to plan and run successful residential experiences. The module covers practical skills for planning and running a residential experience.

The cost for the training weekend, if you register on or before15^th March 2013, is £33.00, and £37.00 thereafter. 

 

This will provide you with the skills that can be validated upon your return to your group by your Local training adviser/manager. More information about each module can be found in your Adult Training folder, or click here!

 

As part of the training weekend, trainees will be exposed to the use of axes, saws and open fires, along with other activities providing leaders the opportunity to be able to give their scouting sections a brilliant residential experience in an adventurous and safe manner. However, due to the nature of this training weekend, children are allowed to attend the camp if there is a responsible adult to take care of them, and this adult must purchase an 'additional family member' ticket along with the 'course attendee' ticket.
